
The Prince, who is 83, has been at Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet since January 28th, when he returned to Denmark from Egypt for medical treatment. On February 2nd, the Court announced that a benign tumour had been found in the Prince’s lung, and he was being treated for a lung infection.
Crown Prince Frederik is returning from South Korea, where he was due to attend the Winter Olympic Games beginning today.
Prince Henrik’s brother, Étienne de Monpezat, has given a comment to BT – “No, I’m not on my way to Denmark, because I’m waiting for the latest news. I know my brother is not well. It seems to be a matter of weeks.”
