This morning, Queen Margrethe accompanied by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary hosted the New Year’s reception for members of the diplomatic corps held at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen.

Her royal life back in Denmark entails a strict daily routine filled with appearances, tours, and working with the dozens of charities and organisations for which she is patron.
But kicking back on the beach with her sisters and close friends with not a care in the world, Crown Princess Mary looked like any other Australian mum on holiday.
