While back in her home country of Australia for the festive season, Princess Mary is indulging in a relaxed Christmas break.

On Sunday the 43-year-old wife of Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik was spotted strolling around in a printed playsuit, after having worn a rash shirt teamed with bikini bottoms for a surfing session just a day earlier.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has hit the beach on Boxing Day during the Australian-born’s family holiday to her home country with husband Crown Prince Frederik and their four children.

The Danish Royal even carried a surfboard into the waves at Byron Bay in northern New South Wales on Saturday where the mercury hit 28.5 degrees Celsius.

It seems even Princesses leave their Christmas shopping until the last minute, with Crown Princess Mary spotted shopping in Byron Bay on Thursday.

The Australian-born royal channelled a gypsy-vibe as she cruised down the streets of the NSW town sipping a smoothie with family and friends, including her best friend and maid of honour, Amber Petty.
