The Accession to the throne programme will take place over several days:
On Friday 3rd October, the official ceremonies will be held in Luxembourg City;
On Saturday 4th October will mark the first day of Grand Duke Guillaume’s reign. On this occasion, he will pay tribute to the people of the Grand Duchy, their diversity, their skills, their achievements, and the richness of their cultural and community life. The new Grand Duke willpay a visit to Grevenmacher, Wiltz, Steinfort and Dudelange.
On Sunday 5th October, the Grand Ducal Family will participate in a Te Deum celebrated at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg. These events will be broadcast live on television and online.
